Tunneling Spectroscopy of Quantum Double Wires

Non-interaction 1D dispersions of ballistic double quantum wires are calculated; a possible spin-filtering device utilizing the DQWs is also discussed [1]. Candidates for this type of spin device include cleaved-edge-over-growth GaAs/AlGaAs double wires [2], carbon nanotubes [3], and etc…
