To cut or not to cut, that is the question - An efficient method to replace TPS B chamber.

TPS (Taiwan Photon Source) in NSRRC has gone though up to 200mA beam current at the third quarter of 2015. However due to some strange, miserable phenomenon that a threshold of is observed. High vacuum burst is found at SR02 B1 chamber each time it reaches over 200mA. Due to limited shutdown time, an efficient methodology is applied to chop and replace the B1 chamber on site. The method dramatically reduces the shutdown time and the final UHV quality is equally well controlled.
